Yea, and possibly more than he wants. I have heard a 395 (.030 over 390) with a Comp 280H 230/230 duration @.050 and .530intake / .530 exhaust lift and you definately knew (at least if you were a gearhead) that it had a bigger cam. Not trying to doubt you Kurt, but if the kid if going to run a Victor intake then I would think he would probably go to a Solid (mechanical) flat tappet cam or a roller of either the Hyd or Solid type. I would think a Victor would be fairly useless unless those heads had been on a flowbench and had some proven numbers. And is he going to drive the thing everyday. I will shut up now untill he posts some answers so we can get a little better idea of what his intentions are with this thing.
I definately agree with the flow bench testing. With the components we're talking about, flow through the heads will become critical. I'll wait to hear what he says. FWIW, if it's not obvious, I think this cam would work good. Crane says fair idle, not no idle.
I know, but he is gonna need gears in the range of maybe 3.25's but probably more like 3.50's / 3.70's/ 3.89's. I wonder how high he is planning on turning the engine. We need to know his trans. type and if automatic he is going to definately need a higher than stall than stock converter. And he definately need to put in some different pistons (unless his block and/or heads have been shaved a lot). We need more info Fordever2....

I definately agree with this. We definately need more information. So far it's just been rough idle, and I was basing my recommendation on that and the intake he plans on using.
its a c6 tranny and its getting a shift kit. and i dont have the heads done yet thats why i am asking...i am trying to figure somethings out with you help.
