Do these tornado fuel savers really work or are they a waste of money? I have a 429 with dove heads and a k&n Xstream air cleaner. Is it worth the $60?
I can save you EXACTLY the same amount of fuel for half the price. Send me half of what the Tornado costs, and I won't send you anything. You don't even have to install my fuel saver, so you save time and effort there, too!
My nothing will also save you 0% to 50% on fuel, just like the Tornado.
If you're interested in buying nothing from me for $30, I'lll send you my address.
I have one. I took it out after having it in for about a year. It made no difference at all. Before taking it out I put on a cone filter setup and a new exhaust and ran it with the Tornado for a while. When I finally removed the Tornado, my mileage went up. If you want it, it's yours for the cost of the postage. BUt for now it's a really expensive paperweight/conversation piece.
It was a few years ago and before I found FTE. Thought I'd give it a try, and if it didn't work send it back. Problem is I didn't drive it enough in the first 30 days to really be able to tell if it had helped or not. By the time I could tell for sure that it did nothing, it was too late. Oh well, at least my loss can be someone elses gain with my first hand knowledge of it being a waste of money.
Want better mileage? If you have a cell phone and friends/parents that you can rely on- remove your spare tire while in town. Out of town, throw her back in when youleave. On a 6000+ pound truck this might not help, but on smaller cars even the donut removal helped SLIGHTLY. Get in the truck and removeall the resonance/sound deadening material, oreven the doors and floor for that matter. AC, Power Steering. Do you REALLY need 4WD. How much do you want to say goodbye to for better mileage.
