Things are definitely goin’ south when:
You cain’t git a loan approved –
at the bank you WORK at.
People wipe they feet before they
LEAVE your house
Your brother in law is a deputy sherriff
and HE turns you in
Your dog runs away to the animal shelter
You’re an appliance repairman by trade –
and the wife hangs clothes on a line
You get to work in the morning
and find the sixty minutes news team waiting for you
Mosquitos will bite everyone at the barbeque
EXCEPT you
Rabid dogs are scared to come near you
You come home and find your kitchen roped off
and men in white environmental suits carrying off the contents of your refrigerator
Your inlaws admire you for your patience with their offspring
An oil change shop files a lawsuit against you for negligence
You have your odometer labeled “TIMES 100”
The fish are dying in your above ground pool
The company you work for asks permission to use you as a tax write off
The local garbage company LEAVES THINGS OFF at your place
You’ve posted a sign offering firewood for sale – and a man asks:
“How much do you want for the garage…”

you can park your truck with the keys in the ignition, and no one takes it
you park your truck in the front of the parking lot, facing the highway, with a big for sale sign in the windsheild, and you come back later to find 4 $10 bills and 2 gallons of paint on the front seat
