2005 Explorer Door Panel Removal

I'm having trouble getting the door panels (front and rear) off my new Explorer. I'm installing new speakers and running new wiring all around and need to know how to get the door panels off. I can remove the piece that houses the power window switch and the power locks. I can also remove the piece below that molds around the door handle. However outside of that and the small hex screw attatched to the handle, I can't seem to remove the door panel. This panel doesn't seem to slide up and out easily like that of my 03' F-150 and my 01' Ranger. I really don't want to break anything as the vehicle is only a week old.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you remove the 2 screws at the bottom? If not, there's your hang-up.

Yep, found that out after I originally posted. Well I'm an idiot. What makes it worse is that it's in plain site. Comes off simple enough once that bottom screw is undone.

Next step is the Head Unit. I'm assuming the panel just pops off?

Viper6 -

I use a thin wide-blade screwdriver with a rag under it to pop off the radio's trim ring (the area around the trim ring dents REAL easy!).
