94 Explorer Driver Door Panel Remover

94 Explorer Driver Door Panel Remover
Anyone know how to remove the driver's interior door panel so that I can replace the handle. It seems this is common on the Explorer, to break the handle off of the panel. Yeah, I'm too cheap to buy the manual.

it's pretty easy to do. just take out the screws by the handle and a-pillar. then (atleast on my 98) there's a piece of plastic trim that fits around the door release handle (it'd be black on your's), just pop it off. next, just give the panel a good, careful tug around the edge to lossen the friction clips which are located near the edge of the sides and bottom of the panel. there is a tool to do this but it's not necessary. then, just slip it out of the lip by the window. once the panel is off, you'll want to disconnect the power window and mirror controls for convience.
when putting it back on, slide the top back into the lip and then just push the frictions clips back into their hole. If any break, I think you can get them cheap at a hardware store. hope this helps
