02 explorer questions
i have an 02 expl. xlt 4.0 and was wondering what all i can do to increase performance, mpg and whatnot. i pull the 4-wheeler trailer during hunting season(alot) and during the summer i occasionaly pull our boat. i'm really looking to gain some mpg mainly, but any performance increases i gain won't hurt my feelings any. well any input is gratly appreciated. thanks ahead of time.

I have a exp myself. Been thinking about the same. I was thinking of putting a K & N air box, with a dual exhaust, don't forget the tuned headers. I did this to a class C motorhome. 79 Dodge 440 cid. The results were outstanding . Don't know if a performace chip is out. Hard to say just what is avable for a 6 banger. Just my own 2 cents. Hope this will help.
