Wel, my mother "pulled the plug" after two weeks. It was before my father was to get a feeding tube. He never would've wanted that. I don't want that either.

My father had a living will, but it was still hard to tell the doctors to disconnect the respirator and just keep him comfortable. He struggled to breathe for twelve hours. He died just five weeks after my mother.
