Once in a while, when I come home, I notice this guy hanging out by our apartments. He looks normal enough, except, he hangs out by the dumpster. He doesn't live here, but I see him once or twice a week. He just parks his truck by the dumpster and stands there like he just belongs. I know that I am not exactly comfortable with this guy being around, but on the other hand, he could be homeless and this could be his livelyhood. Any suggestions on how this should be handled? I thought about just walking up and asking him what he is doing, but he could be some crazy with a knife or a gun. Not sure just how this should be handled.
Might be a dumpster diver and waiting for something good to be dumped, than again maby not!
Won't hurt to tell the law and ask for extra patrol on the nights he is there.
When we dumpster dive here in the south we do it in broad daylight so we get a good look at what we get.
I would definately get the law involved on this one. Don't confront him in any way, he could be a crazed lunatic, never know. Call the law, describe him, tell them when he is there normally, and ask them what you should do about it. They more than likely will dispatch a car to investigate it.
i doubt he is homeless as most homeless people dont have cars. my guess is that he is either a p.i. or someone up to no good. i would call the police or let the apartment manager aware and if he checks out, than all is well. p.i. s do all kind of wierd stuff to go unnoticed, like dressing up like the homeless and such. definatly dont go up to him and ask him what hes doing, cause you may find out and not want to know.
Well if you see him there around twice a week he see's you coming home twice a week and knows your schedule, could be a potential burglar or just a dumpster diver doing his thing. Overall it sounds a little strange, call the cops and let them figure it out.
