I have just finishing boxing my frame with the volare suspension. I did realize anything about a offset trans member. I am using a 302 out of a 86 country squire and I save the 48 foot crossmember out of it. It is tubular and can shorten to any require length. Can anyone give me the measurements for the offset or is it one of those set the motor in there and ponder at it for awhile measurements?

About an inch to the right. It's for additional exhaust manifold/header to PS box clearance. It isn't always necessary. Mine is pretty much centered up. A bigblock would almost certainy require it.

You'll lose even more elevation as you install the other 10,000 pieces. I'm about ready to raise mine back up a bit for daily driving.

The dipstick is a good idea, I was going to suggest a dental mirror. But glueing the mirror to the floor is an excellent idea. I'm going to put one there even tho I have the floor plug. If your doing something under there anyway why hassle with the carpet.....
