I have had the gaskets replaced for the vent windows in my 74 F100. I believe that the wind noise and water leak has actually gotten worse. This is a great old truck in great shape and I want to keep it that way. Is there a solution out there that willl solve this problem?
No. The latch is pretty tight. I have even tried pulling on the latch and pushing on the hinged side from the inside of the truck while water is being sprayed on it and it still leaked (badly!).
On the side closest to the roll-down window seems to be the worst. But if it is sprayed with water it leaks all around.
I had a professional auto glass installer do this for me as I wanted it done correctly. I wonder if the gaskets aren't "right"?
