Glove box

Has anyone installed a new glove box insert in a 66? Do you have to remove the heater? I tried to fit the insert in by removing the blower motor, but there dosn't seem to be enough room.

You should be able to put the sleeve in without taken out the blower motor. I have done it many times.

without taking out the whole vent box I dont think you can do it, I had to ever so gently crease mine on the sides and slide it in. you cant see were I did it and its as sloid as can be once the screws are in. good luck

glove box

I have replaced the glove box insert, and removed the heater core/blower motor as well. It wasn't that hard, but I think you can slide the insert in gently without much effort.
