I bought 3 iPods in the last 6 months (40gb, 20gb, mini)

Anyway, if you are going to hook it up to an aftermarket HU, its fairly simple.

If you are looking to hook it up to a factory HU, it may be a little bit more work (depending on the model you are putting it into). I am having a hell of a time trying to hook mine up to my 03 6disc in-dash right now.

The best place to read up on this stuff is at ipodlounge.com and read their forums. They have a section on "In-Car Solutions" and members post about their setups. There is a sticky about online vendors that sell AUX inputs for most vehicles.

Hope that helps!
