99 ranger pcv valve replacement

hello guys! im a new member here and am very excited about it, finally found a good site for help. anyway, i have a 99 ranger and am having a hard time on changing pcv valve, the hose came off no problem, but the valve it self i cant get off. i even tried lightly with my pliers to get it off and no help. also, the end that the hose goes onto is 90 degress instead of an angle like the new one i got. can anyone help me out with some tips? thanks guys i appreciate it.

Have you tried twisting it to get it loose? What engine are you working on?

actually, i found it way underneath my intake manifold, real bad location very hard to get to. but i still dont know what that is on top of my valve cover , looks like a pcv valve.

what motor do you have. pcv placement is different
