key/ignition/headlight chime

until this afternoon i believed i DID NOT have a "headlight on" reminder chime or a "key in ignition" chime. Anywho. So this afternoon i'm getting outta my truck and i hear this EXTREMELY faint chiming. I tested it. it Was for the keys, then i tested it for my headlights, it worked there too. WHY IS IT SO FAINT? How can i fix it/make it louder. I'm one of those ppl who leave the lights on occasionally. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Keith

Usually there is one box, or control module for that. You can probably look under the dash and listen for it, it should be a small black box and I would imagine needs replaced. Just my 2 cents.

Or a PO didn't like how loud it was, found it, and wrapped it up with tape.
