I was wondering if there is a way to disable the warning beeps when you are not wearing your seatbelt. Even if I am in park and not wearing the belt, it starts to beep. Anyone know a trick around this one?
You can just click the belt release button when it starts beeping and that will turn it off, but just for that trip. The proper way is in the owner's manual as mentioned above.
I own a 2002 half ton FX4 and the darn seat belt chime WILL NOT go off if I hit the button, I actually half to have the belt engaged. Maybee the changed the feature or something. Unfortunately I bought it used with 45K and do not have a owners manual myself, otherwise I would be doing the same.
stang302, although the web site for downloading manuals isn't working right now, you can download one in pdf format from www.motorcraftservice.com. In the owners section.
Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.
Thanks KingFish I did not realize that and will check it out soon hopefully, thanks again! Ive owned my truck since the summer and it bugs me not to have an owners manual...maybee Im too **** about it, haha!

Mine is a 2002 and it does turn off the chime, but if you open the door or turn off the truck then it comes back.
Anyway here's the right way to do it, it's the last post. http://www.fordtrucks.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=255970
