Does anybody know how to get rid of the damn seat-belt beep sounds for both the driver seatbelt and the passenger seatbelt? It ****es the hell out of me

I'd tell you how but it would just be easier to look in your owners manual. Honestly, you'll know what I mean when you see how "follow the directions" the procedure is.

the easiest fix is to wear your seatbelt, the beeping stops instantly!

While standing on your left leg, with your right eye shut and holding a live chicken. There is a series of turning the light on and buckling and unbuckling your seatbelt. It’s in the owner’s manual… I think. I never took the time to look or do it. I just wear my seatbelt, even on short trips. It sucks but what the heck.

The smartest way is to just buckle like the LAW requires you to do, it's a good reminder to get the seatbelt on, even for the short trips.

Take a buck knife and cut your seatbelt off at the buckle and leave it plugged in. That should do it. Worked for me.

Search the forum. This issue was discussed several weeks ago and I believe someone said you can get a seatbelt extender from Ford that you can plug in and it makes your truck think your belt is plugged in.

I work full time as a Paramedic, trust me wear it, that annoying beep may save your life. Read your manual about how smart these belts are in a crash!

I agree that seat belts might have saved a life or two but I do not want the government to tell me how to live my life. This is a personal decision and none of thier buisness. They have thier noses in way to much of our lifes so I do not wear the belt because of that fact. I will say that this seat belt is the most comfortable I have ever worn. But once I found out how to dis-arm it I was even more comfortable. If you want to wear them that is great but it should be your choice.

Ohankeuylian, there are instructions in your manual. You have to connect and dis connect the belt 9 times and you have to do it in the order and time stated. You also have to do the passsenger seat seperatly but it does work.

WEB, not only is the government telling you that you are legally required to wear seatbelts. I am requiring you to wear your seatbelt. I am paying for anybody's stupidity of not wearing a seatbelt and getting in an accident. I pay for higher insurance rates, higher medical costs, higher local infrastructure facilities cost, etc. Not to speak of the nuisance of having your freaking dead body fly out of your car into my windshield.

No one's a stronger supporter of wearing seat belts than me. BUT- there are times where the Ford Belt-Minder is a pain in the you-know-what. Anyone that works on the tarmac at an airport knows what I mean. If there are situations where your speed doesn't exceed 20 mph, and you're getting in and out of the truck constantly, then you should be alllowed to disable the thing. Otherwise, WHERE YOUR SEAT BELT! Have you ever seen a NASCAR driver race without one?

I pay insurance in return my insurance pays for "my dead body" that hits your truck.

Insurance rates will go up regurdless of seat belt use or not. I have driven for over thirty years and have not turned one damn claim in and my insurance keeps going up.

I do not buy the "If you get hurt we all pay" line of crap.

It is a personal issue not the friggin government or you hinten.

There is too much "it isn't my fault" in this world today. If you want a reason your insurance, be it car, medical, dental, etc. keeps going up look at all the ^&*% lawyers, they are nothing more than money grubbing, wanting to sue everyone no loads. Because some idiot picks up his lawn mower and uses it has a hedge trimmer then drops it and cuts his leg off the lawyer will get him to sue the manufactor for not telling the numb nuts that he can't do it! Again the "it isn't my fault" world we live in. Take responsibility for yourself and your actions is what I am saying. If they had not made a law requiring the wearing of belts I would probably wear them, consider it my Boston Tea partyy. And when "my dead body hits your truck I will wave at you and you can say I told you so!

So you can "require" me to wear them all you want... it ain't happen. Get over it....and yourself.

Hey hinten, sorry about the short circuit there. I thought about it for awhile and I just did what a couple of other posters do here and I laugh at them. It is a truck forum for the exchange of info and yes at times it gets entertaining.

Chalk it up to a bad day but individule rights is a sore point to me. I get so tired of people telling others how to live, what to read and how to act. If you want to read Tom Sayer or a bloody action novel who cares. If you want to watch Spy KIds or **** it is your buisness. If you like a to smoke, knock your socks off. If you like/dislike abortion that it is between you and your maker. If you want to ride your bicycle with out a helmet go for it.

We are all different and that is what makes this world a great place and a very good reasonto get up each morning

Everyone has their own opinion and it is just that... an opinion and they are always right to that person. It just hit a raw spot when you said "you were requireing me".

So back to the truck info
