Hello I'm new
After nearly twenty years my dream came true. I bought a 1988 F-150 4x4! It is a LWB 302 Lariet. I have owned it about 1 1/2 years and have sent half of what I paid for it fixing it and it still looks like it was beaten with a chain. Most of the problems have been fixed and it runs great but their are two nagging problems.
1. the passinger side window switches work backwards. I replaced both window motors and the switches wire only one way on the doors.
2. when the radio (a Pioneer installed by the previous owner) is on and the lights are turned on the radio goes off for about 5 seconds and then comes back on. I have regrounded it without any change in the problem.
Also when the radio is on and I turn the engine off I hear a series of 4 or 5 beeps.
Last, but not least ,why do the aftermarket suppliers stop at 1986 or 1987 and resume at 1990? I find it all but impossible to find aftermarket parts for this truck.
