How do you know all 8 injectors are bad?? It would sound a little fishy to me if a mech. told me that. Like above stated, if ya do have to replace them all might as well go with swamps or beans upgrades!
Injectors don't usually go bad, especially all 8 at once. Sounds like someone is trying to scam you. What year is your truck, how many miles, what symptoms, dictate replacing all 8? Good way to get links posted though
My Truck F250 1996 7.3L PSD with 190,000 miles.
The symptoms:
1) Lost power in tho mountain, the PCM shift down quikly the speed
2) At 650 rpm the engine shake
3) At 1000-1200 rpm the engine sound bad, unequal, rought.
We detect problem in #2 and #5 injector. The "diesel experts??" recommend me change all the injectors. What can I do? Change all or two?
At most places like the Ford House the price of two of their injectors verses a set of the swamps would not be much different, except swamps would really wake the PSD up.
Just checked your profile and see that you are from Argentina. Swamps would still be what I would do and saw that you didn't have any other mods, I would just get the baby swamps with that. You really should check into new down pipe and straight exhaust with a better air intake system with filter. That would certainly put a smile on your face and get you to the fishing a lot quicker LOL...What do you fish for down that way? I am a sucker for fishing LOL

Patagonia
I'd suspect a burnt valve cover harness. That would cause the rough running, and would give you faulty injector readings. I'd check that first! alot cheaper fix than injectors.
What ever you do shop around for injectors. I did not and got hosed at the international store, $ 240 a pop for stock re builds. boy do I ever regret that!!
Here,in my country, nobody have instrumental to check these injectors. We remove out the injectors and change in another cylinder position, and the problem change the position.
We disconect the wire harness from #2 and #5 and the sound no change.
Now, my mechanic have 4 new Alliant Power injectors in your hands. Tomorrow probe it. Tomorrow we know if that is the problem.
