I have a 1999 F-250 4x4 with x code springs that I put in to level it. The links I have now are a little too short. What is the best fix for this? Are there adjustable links out there that have the rubber or poly bushings? Or are spherical joint adjustable links reliable in MN? Will they affect ride quality?
Are the newer factory links with the bigger bushing area better? - the ones that do not seem to have any rubber in them.
ORU says that the flip of the brackets adds 5" that's a bit much - I probably only need an inch to two inches. Do you think since the sway bar has bushings to the axle the bushings do much on the links? Thanks
Yeah, flipping the mounts definately makes up for more than 1-2".....5" seems like a bit much to me though. I flipped the mounts when I had a 4" lift and it worked out well.
The bushings allow for "flex" during supension travel.
this is what i did, cut and rewelded in a new section.. it worked for about 3 months, it broke this weekend on one side and i just went ahead and ordered the correct ones from EDGE.. they sell them in aftermarket lengths.
