I was wondering if anyone has checked the clearance between the bump stop and the front axle. The drivers side on my truck is about an inch lower than the passenger side (3in). Would this indicate a bad leaf spring and does anybody know how much they are?
If the entire truck is on a dead level pad when you are measuring the distance, it sounds like the springs are getting weak on the drivers side.
A spring shop should be able to fix you up for something between 3 and 5 hundred for both springs.
You do not say what year, but a friend of mine just picked up a set of X springs for his 2004 350 for about 350 dollars. That was just the springs, no hardware and not installed.
