Incentives

I've ordered a new F-250 4wd,powerstroke,Lariat that I hope will be in the next couple of weeks. Ford has a 2000 dollar cash rebate until 4/4/05 and I was wondering if it would apply to a pickup that you order or do you have to get a pickup from dealer stock to qualify for the incentive.

Thanks for your help and I'll let you know about the new pickup when it comes in.

Had a 1975 Ford Custom 302 V-8, 4 speed loved it
Have a 1987 XLT Lariat 302 V-8 Auto great pickup
Can't wait for 2005 Larait Powerstroke

See you later

Incentives are always applicable to the delivery date unless specified otherwise.

A friend of mine ordered and paid for a '97 F150, there was a price increase between the time he ordered the truck and the time he received it. He bought it for the cheaper price, like I said though he paid for it first, not many of us can do that, these days.

Price protection is standard issue on any new order, whether you paid in advance or not. The only time it doesn't come into play is when a previously optional piece of equipment became standard.

You are probably right, but I was just saying what my friend did and how he handled his purchase. The dealer was wanting to buy back the truck for some reason, he probably witheld payment to FMC when he ordered it and had to pay the difference when it arrived.

I need more customersl like that! No, seriously, the dealer owns the truck after it's built (paid for or not by the customer) and then sells it to the customer. Payment gets credited automatically to FMCC when the unit's shipped, MCO (like a title, before it's titled) goes to the dealer, and it gets paid off when it gets delivered.

If you pre-pay an order, you're just letting the dealer float on that cash until the new truck's delivered. Kinda like an interest-free loan. Guy must've really liked his dealer. No clue why the dealer would want to buy it back- there's probably more to this story than we know.

Hi Polarbear, sorry to jump in on this thread. I ordered a an F350 KR DRW in 11/3. At the time the 4.10 was an option. When I picked up the truck on 2/23 I had become a standard item but the dealer insisted that since I ordered the 4.10 as an option. I would have to pay for it. After waiting so long for the truck, I didn't want to argue with them and hold the purchase any longer. Is there any anyone in Ford I can contact about getting my $ back?

XHummergirl I believe the base MSRP was adjusted upwards to reflect that change. In any event, I've never seen a manufacturer get involved in a pricing dispute between a customer and a dealership- it gets kicked right back to the dealer.

Thanks Polarbear!!! I'll just let it go since they were kind enough to take the xPlan, AQHA, ford rebates and a good deal on the trade-in.
