Bad E.O.T.????
So I gots this new '96 last sat. Totaly redid the fuel system for the veg oil. just waiting on some oil to filter and try it. getting excited. UNTIL!!!!
the thing has a TERRIBLE knock when it is cold, top end, not a rod. first thought was a wrist pin, great,
so it sat in the shop for three days getting the fuel system, i start it and no knock!!!
what the heck, park it outside where it is only 25* start it this morning and it knocks to H*ll. so I have come to the conclution that the EOT is freaking out and advancing the timing WAY to far. has anyone had an EOT go bad. any ford master tech's out there that can verifiy this before I go spending money I dont have.
