Trailer hitch/electrical problem
05 150 XL with V-6. Can't find a hitch bar to fit. bought one for an 04. dealer said it would work. wrong? Has a damper on the 05. also I hooked up a 6 disc changer to acc fuse. now the wipers and AC keeps cutting off? Is there a wire I can tie the accessory line into W/O it kicking off?

I work for U-Haul, and if you you mean the "receiver" as the hitch bar, try given us a call. Put 2 in an 05 150 yesteray. As for the wiring, try your horn, you'll have constant power, but the only way the horn can go off is you pressing it on your steering wheel so you shouldn't have the problem of anything tripping. Although make sure the fuse is strong enough, or it will just blow. That's my advice.

If the hitch is not designed with the damper, then it WILL NOT work. Take it back.

Hey Guy's thanks for the quick replies, and answers.. I have called U-Haul several times, and when I get someone who can understand my question they tell me to use the 04 it will work. Wrong. I called back and they said they don't have one for an 05???? Will try again.
