Anyone out there using a fifth wheel hitch in thier 05 screw 5ft box?
I have been told you can't.
I have the 5.4 with tow package 3:55 rear.
If so what hitch are you using. Thanks
I have a 6.5 foot box on my FX4 Supercab and use the 16k SuperGlide.
Having said that, the 12K SuperGlide might be a good choice for you. The website states:

SuperGlide - 12,000.
The 12K SuperGlide is designed specifically for the new "shorter than a short bed" trucks - like Ford's F-150 SuperCrew, Nissan Titan, Toyota Tundra and the new 2005 Chevy 5' 8" bed truck. It moves up to 22-¾" while turning.

I pull a Shasta 235RB with my 98 F150 4x4 Supercab 4.6L 6.5' bed. I have the Reese 15K Kwik Slide Classic hitch and it seems to work well. I am in the market for one of the new 06 Supercrew Lariats with the 6.5' bed right now to replace the 98. I undersatnd they started production the middle of December and are just now hitting the lots but mostly special orders at this time. I have seen one on the road and one on a transport truck and boy do they look sharp!
