Hello

Anyone out there using a front hitch and carrying bicycles?

I have a 05 E350 V10. My camper's rear bumper cannot properly handle the bike hitch we have bolted to it. I need to find another way to carry 3 bikes and a front hitch sounds like a plan.

Just wanted to see if anyone is using one and if so have you noticed any engine temp issues?

Any info you can share would be appreciated.

Dunno! But, I did surf this out of curiosity:

Looks like a good solution. As to overheating issues, I think the air would blow right through the bikes if there's nothing covering them.

I do remember seeing numerous bikes missing the front wheel, apparently the vibration loosens the quick release axle nut while driving.

Thanks for sharing the link. I have a receiver rack already that I plan on using - it is a 4 bike carrier.

The only other issue I can see with this is the headlights.

 

And overzealous law enforcement citing you for no front plate.
