My brother has a 93 F-150 w/ a 4or 6" lift on it (were not for shure). Anyway when driving down the road it wanders really bad. It's not a gentle swaying between lanes it more of a jerky erratic pull to one side or the other. If you ever drove a car w/ the caster/camber way out of whack it feels similar to this. His radius arms are dropped appropiately and things look OK but it drives terrible. Is this common for these trucks when their lifted? He's pretty much given up on solving it but curiosity has the better of me. I'd really like to see this problem fixed cause he is family and all, and this problem is potentially dangerous.
Thanks

I would also check the steering box for excessive freeplay. And checking tire pressure won't hurt. I am thinking there are larger-than-stock tires on this truck, so a good shop will be able to correct the problem.
Well, this is my first post on here and I will try to help you out with it.
Depending on what type of lift that was used on his truck it is probably the lift blocks that lower the center section of the TTB front axle. Folks like Skyjacker and Superlift have perfected the art of making these things very stable but companies such as Tough Country and even Rancho have a problem with them flexing. It might not sound like it would cause a problem like that but just a very minimal amount of flexing in this area will cause the truck to wander dangerously. Hope this helps.
The lowering brackets for the TTB were loose so My brother tightened them back up and welded them soild so I don't think That's the problem. He believes he has a trailmaster lift. His springs are (were) yellow though; I thought yellow springs indicated a superlift suspension. I guess I could be wrong.
Has this truck been ran or 4-wheeled hard? Could be that the ball joints are worn or in need of lubrication. How about the tie rod ends or drag link? I have had drag links on several trucks cause bad wander over night. Radius arms could also need attention. Also, check the pivot points of both halves of the front axel. Bracket bolts can come loose. Just some thoughts. Good luck.
