Do I need a gasket?????
86 F150 300
Replaced the complete exhaust system a while back. Worked great until now which it is starting to leak at the manifold / inlet pipe. With the new system I got a gasket. (Which I assumed was needed since the old one was worn.) Since it is leaking and I don't want to torque the nuts any tighter I went to buy a new one. Parts store says I don't need one? Manual doesn't show the gasket for my truck, but it does for a f350 300 without a catalytic converter. Gasket # 9451.
Here's the question: Do i need one? It appears to leak if I don't have a gasket, but can't find one.
