Poly Bushings

Poly Bushings
Hey guys
I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere i can get the whole set of polyurethane bushings for my 99' B3000. Im starting to squeak. Ive been searching off and on for the past 2 months and havent found anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was also wondering about greasinbg stuff. It seems that my truck has no grease nipples. Is everything sealed? Woulding greasable components be better?
Thanks,
Brandan

Altough the 2 biggest makers of these parts don't list your truck, I would still call/email them to ask about availability. Your truck is supposed to be the same as the Ranger so maybe they are making it.

My 98 Ranger had a squeek in the front end that turned out to be bad ball joints. (three out of four) The replacement ball joints had grease fittings. On some of the older vehicles, it was not uncommon to find plugs that could be removed and replaced with a grease fitting. (I wonder what the cost difference was between the threaded plug and a grease fitting?) I do not believe that is the case now-a days as any parts that I have seen either have a grease fitting or they are factory sealed. I personally will not purchase a replacement front end part that does not have a grease fitting.

You sure you want to use poly? They can squeak too, even new ones. I know more than a few people who have provided feedback to that effect.
Not saying that poly bushings aren't high quality, just that they may a little noisier than rubber.
I also agree about ruling out the ball joints as a source of the squeaking.

For whatever it is worth, I had some poly bushings installed in my 91 4x2 and have been unhappy ever since. They are noisy and when I took it back to the shop that installed them they lubricated them with disc brake lube, which took care of the problem for awhile. Now they are noisy again. I am thinking of going back to rubber ones and replacing them myself as they are not hard to do. I have been told they seem to work better in 4x4 installations.

Always good to get feedback on things from someone with personal experience.

thanks for all the help guys. im almost sure its my bushings though. I am going to jack it up next week to check my reverse light switch. Ill check it then. just by rocking the truck though it sounds like its coming from the top two bushings. Is there anyway to make the squeeking stop temporarily? We put poly bushings on our 85' F-150 and its been fine since we put them in(5months aprox). when ever i go to my friends house i need to go over 7 speed bumps and its pretty annoying its probably worse to the people around.
