Hehehehe... good luck! You and about a thousand others. I am half considering going into business for myself and make these things...they are so scarce. As one person mentioned here, they are worth their weight in GOLD. Best of luck.

I thought about that too. It sounds like a good idea. And it would be pretty easy to design one yourself and then get someone to make them for you; it would probably be fairly cheap to manufacture something like that. Then market them on eBay and get rich and come back here to show off your Bronco with 15" of lift and 50" tires; and you could put a blown 302 in it and finally shut all of us 351 boys up. But you know what?
Why do people want these? I hardly ever used mine. Was it only the Eddie Bauer and loaded XLT's that got these? Im guessing these were avail. on 92-96 models?
Ya, Mine was all bent and glued edge was coming apart. It always looked dirty, I finally thru the damn thing in the trash. It was OK to hide my Amp and Sub, but its been gone a couple years and I've yet to be broken into

Greystreak...nuts to that brother. You should make up a few more of the ones you built for your rig. With a few extra bucks in my pocket, I'd buy one in a minute . I bet if you were to ask, you'd find that I'm not alone.
Yeah, they were available on the top end XLT's and the Eddie Bauer's but the rear interior side panels need to have the slots for it to mount properly. Its a glorified window shade.
jdmorg,
I'll happily make or provide the necessary instructions/component list for anyone who wishes to convert a stock top to the setup I have. Its not all that complicated. 92-96 owners can keep their rear seat passengers along with the use of the rear window and no new holes drilled in the truck.
Or were you referring to the security setup? Thats a little more complicated but not impossible to replicate.
And yeah, I understand it's probably easy, but that's not a very capitalistic way of thinking now is it? Thermostats are easy to replace too, but how many people aren't willing to do it themsleves and pay for it, whatever the cost? Make some money on it if you can...maybe grab a top or two from a yard and get started...you even have an in to a website you can advertise on!
And what do you mean by the 92-96 rear passenger thing? Is it a seatbelt issue? And why are they the only years you can work the rear window?
My top conversion allows for the "open road" feel that everyone likes when they remove the top. However, running around topless can make you wet. Wait, lemme rephrase that. Running around sans top can be a problem in inclement weather. the alternatives are a complete soft top which is expensive, requires drilling holes in your truck, eliminates the use of the rear window while the soft top is on, and for 92-96 owners you lose two rear seat belts and your high-mount stop light. None of these issues are a problem with the conversion I have. This is the gallery link.
ah...I remember that thread. And I understand what you meant with the window, I just overthought it. All in all, that top is the best mod I've seen on this site for a Bronco.
