96 Prices GRRRRRR!
96 Prices GRRRRRR!
I saw a guys Bronco it was a 96 EB 36K original miles! He wanted $12,500. I was like "yeah right"........I called... he already sold it. Like in two days. Said he could have prolly gotten more. Geeeeez! Hows a guy like me supposed to get a good deal on a nice Bronco when people are buying them up at these crazy prices? Its like real estate, sellers market. I'll keep my head up and keep looking. Theres one on auction site, Buy now price...$12,000??? GEEEZ!
I hate to say it but that was the best deal I've heard of in a long time. They stopped making the Bronco, no, I don't know why. I sold my '96 EB for $9,500 and a Polaris ATV. Mine had well over 100K on the clock. I have spent a year trying to find another that was in as good a shape, and had maunal 4wd selector, and a good E4OD, and I'd take one I had to have the tranny rebuilt as long as everything else was up to snuff. With 36K on it, you really missed the deal of the century. If you're looking for a premium Bronco you're gonna have to write the check. I wish you luck, the last two I looked at, both '96's had major issues and sold for $10K. And no, sorry I don't even like the concept Bronco. The early Bronco's had style, the Concept is way too euro for me, not for others maybe, but for me.

A friend turned down 10k for his 1978 ford truck, he is the only owner and wouldn't sell it for anything...
Like SRD stated it all depends on the buyer and seller...

I wish there was a way to petition ford to build the bronco again using the new f-150 front end. Never in my life, I always said, Will I pay that much for a vehicle! But if they did that, I most certainly would!
I have a 93 XLT with the 5.0.
Paint has a couple SMALL spots needing work, has a replacement driver's door and a totally great interior. Just had a major tune up, has 4 new Les Scwab Wildcat tires on it and is overall good shap.
We are in the need of "funds" right now and I was thinking of selling it for like $3500......then I see the prices some people are asking for theirs..........................LOL

2 years ago I passed
on a '95 Torchiere red and silver XLT w/ leather and all the extras 56,000 miles $12,000 at a Ford dealer 1 owner trade in. I'll be into my 93 xlt w/leather and all the extras for $11,000 when I finish front brakes and wheel bearings. I wish I knew then what I know now.
I did get mine for $6,000.00 126,000 miles 2 owner only one ding in the entire truck no rust.
I'd buy another one in a second.
I've rented a new Suburban and Durango when the Bronco was in the shop.
Both of'em didn't seem like a truck. Drove like big station wagon.
I wonder does anyone rent Expedition
??

Considering that Broncos weren't cheap to begin with, made in relatively small numbers, (compared to Exploders, for instance) and it's a type of car not manufactured today (2 door full size, but reasonably short SUV on a truck frame) cars in 'like new' condition will fetch a reasonably good price.
The replacement I looked at for my 96 EB was an Excursion, it listed for like 40+ thousand, thank you but nope, I'll continue to throw a few hundred of dollars a year to keep mine running. Its in mint condition, runs strong with 132K on the clock. I've loved it since the first day I saw it on the dealer showroom
Actually, I'm seriously thinking about buying a new PSD Excursion (wife's pregnant with 4th child) while they can be had new. I think it will be one of those SUVs that will retain their values much better than average, and like the Bronco, it will (likely to) be replaced by some yuppified SUV.
