I my self have built a 6 grand $$$$ 4 cyl. Witch was not my money. I told the father that NOS is not meant for in shop use, as he hit the butten. It did hit 9 grand and went boom. I was digging parts out of the roof for a week. LOL
OMG!!!!!!! I put an airhog in my 91 460 crew cab dually and it went 12.00 in the 1/4! So I figured I could go faster if I added TWO airhogs! Funny thing happened though, I went 8.40 and hit 13,000 rpm! So I thought again........... I added the third airhog, but, I was couldn't get it in the airbox. So I cut all three up into lil pieces and added three more! Now I am running 4.90 @ 319 in the quarter! I am peddlin' the truck all the way down the track! oh yeah I also am getting 58 MPG too!!!!!
I have a 2000 F250 V10 4x4 automatic and just put in a Fram Air Hog the other day. The engine does seem to run a lot smoother and also seems to have more power and quicker response. If the filter does provide a little better performance, then it may be worth the extra money. I think a decent Fram paper filter was around $16 or $18 bucks and the Air Hog was $45, so if this filter lasts as long as three of the paper filters then I will break even on the extra cost. If it lasts a lot longer then I will be saving money. We'll see how the performance and gas mileage go with this filter.
