RJLB, What kind of problem led to you putting an accelerator pump on the van? What kind of dissasembly did you do here? Did you just pull the cover from the front of the carburetor? Give a little more info on what was going on and we'll see if we can help.

Sorry for the language I appoligize for that.I replaced the accelerator pump because it was leaking at the diaphram. There was fuel on the piston that works in and out.I found a small pin hole in that diaphram. Also replaced fuel filter while I was in there.Thks RJLB.......
Did you change the setting on the pump arm for the accelerator pump? Does it just idle bad or does it smooth out after you gas it? If it does not run good on either idle or acceleration I would recommend you pull the carburetor and check it out. Pull the upper body off, remove the float and look to see if anything is plugging the jets. Did you change the elastomer valve in the front of the carb main body (lays right behind the accelerator pump diaphram)? You may want to just take it all apart and clean it, then blow out all orifices and put a rebuild kit in it.
