I have a 1984 bronco 2 5spd. 1st problem is that my fuel guage is not working no clue why..2nd problem is that sometimes when i shift in to third gear my car boggs down and sounds like it is choaking .i can hear a clicking on the right side but no clue where it is comming from. any help would be great thanks.
Have you tried changing the trannie oil in that might be a problem and check the tires lugnuts they may not be tightened down with torq and that could be a reasoning for the clicking noises you here
Which way is the fuel gauge pointing? FULL or EMPTY? The way it points will give a clue to why it's not working. E could be a hole in the float. F is generally an electrical problem.
Is your truck a 4X4? The clicking may be a hub problem.
I think there's a forum on this website for Bronco II's. You may have more luck over there.
if you fuel pump is not working right your fuel sending unit is faulty
your floated is stuck in some position. either full or half way or empty all the time
bronco2's have a 23 gallon fuel tank. just so you know.
oh i forgot the clicking sound , if you have auto hubs 4x4 and your doing some serious off-roading and you here clicking you hubs are gone. i would check.
