I just learned that there's a way to get additional data from the odometer.

There are 49 data fields!

Gage= does a gage sweep and resets to current readings

888888.8 but the first 8 has dots in the two circles, the second 8 has the dot in the bottom circle and there's a hash connecting the first two 8s at the top...the other 8s are all normal

Thats interesting! I did it to the ambulance today and it worked. It is a 2004 SD and it came up with "Gage" and they pegged and returned and could scroll through the options!
