When coming to stop I hear this jingling sound coming from the front of my truck. I have no clue what it is but it is not a clunk, grinding or break squeal sound....best i can describe it as is a jingling sound. Any ideas?? I am lost...
Rocks inside the wheels? Wheel bearings bad enough that the rotors are contacting the shields?
Front driveshaft u-joints bad enough that the driveshaft is banging around? (even with the hubs unlocked, the shafts will turn slightly)
Or, maybe the needle bearings the front axles ride inside are bad? With the hubs unlocked, see if you can EASILY turn the axles - any ratcheting or hanging up is a bad thing.
I notice you have aftermarket rims? Center caps are tight?
I'd first look around to see if there was a little fat guy with a beard and a red suit on, especially if it was late December.
Potential hijack
Isn't there some way we can keep you from "chiming in" with all the quips?
Did you know Jingle Bells is not a Christmas song?
Did you know I have a lot of work to do and I'm giggling as I read this?
Did you know I have to put an alternator in my step-son's '90 Taurus with 130K miles on it (original alt) and I'm deciding how many beers the job is worth?
Did you know... aw heck, I can't think of any more.
A lot of times the shock rubbers will compress due to wear and then the washer is no longer tight and will rattle.Could be a sway bar rubber is loose or worn and will make a rattle also.
I just realized my front-end is jingling ... betcha I know what it is! Steering stabilizer came loose again! But isn't coming to a stop, but just traveling on the road...
Krewat...what is the best way to determine whether or not the wheel bearings are shot? Front driveshaft seems to be fine, axels spin freely and i yanked the center caps a long time ago because they click like a Riverdancer on meth.

Jack it up and try to wiggle the wheel up and down and left to right ...

Jingle Jingle ... Jingle Jingle...
Not the steering stabilizer, I'm thinking it's the new Warn hubs that they say "already pre-lubed" ... There's a star washer inside the **** side, and if I take the outer hub piece and shake it, it jingles... I packed it with grease, we'll see today if it stopped.

I don't know where I was when I wrote that
Oh, and it was the Warn hubs jingling, filling the cap with grease greatly reduced the Jingles...
