Fishing

With spring on the way I was wondering who out there liked to fish and what their favorite species and spot was? I didn't do much fishing last year, but hopefully I will get to do more this year. I like bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, and trout. I enjoy fishing streams and small ponds, but also do some fishing on big lakes. Most of the fishing I did last year was on Table Rock but in past years I have fished Taneycomo, Wappapello, St. Francis river, Mississippi, Meramac, and a few other small streams and ponds.

There's a fine line between fishing and standing around with a string in the water looking like an idiot. . .

I have yet to make that transition.

I mainly do catfish and panfish, but like i said, most is out of blind luck than skill. Does give you a good excuse to head out and spend all day on the river, though

Not a big fisherman, but always a big fan of drinkin beer and eating freshly-caught and fried fish. I'm usually too busy working on my hobbies and enjoying that to leave the shop to go out on a river. But if I was FORCED to, I think I would have a good time. Kinda funny that I live right on a river and don't like to fish, tho.

The best part about fishing is enjoying the outdoors and having a good time with some buddies. Don't have to be good at it or even catch alot aslong as you're enjoying yourself. I have been fishing since I was young a still don't know that much.

Bass Fishing has been described as a jerk on one end of a line waiting for a jerk on the other end. Ford truck and Bass fishing are my passions. I fish Mark Twain, OZ, Truman,
Pomme, and a lot of small lakes around NE MO. My 79 F250 has 215,000 mile and most have been in front of a bass boat. Can't wait till spring to start waitin for a jerk on my end.

Been fishing 2 times already this year, have a pond and creek on property. Didnt catch any thing but it was enjoyable. Heading to Bennett Springs the last week of March for a week of wading in the water. fish for catfish the most on the Missouri. Use to fish the Mississippi alot but haven't been there for 2 years. I do it just to be outdoors.

I tried it for awhile, not as easy as it looks. Still have the rod, but haven't used it for a long time. I was just kinda getting the hang of it and I quit using it.

Personally, I enjoy fishing for large mouth bass. This weekend, the girlfriend and I are heading into SE Kansas to pick up a new car for her. While we are down there I am going to , hopefully, get a few hours of fishing in. Her dad has some land with a nice run off pond on it, somedays we have to hit the fish with a stick to keep them out of the boat.
