Arrow Ceramic Pads destroying rotors?

That's the first time I've ever heard anyone say Ceramic pads destroy rotors. I have no squeal/squeak or anything. I wonder what the issue is with the F-350. If the pistons are not retracting or the rotor is not surfaced I can see problems with any pad. I'd get the front end off the ground and check for sticking pistons first thing. If nothing is hanging up and all is as it should be I'd bring it to the attention of the parts dealer for correction. I wash red clay mud or dirt out of my front brakes almost every night and especially yesterday and today, I've been in the red stuff up to the the rims on jobsites and more rain is coming. Have your boss contact the vendor and get the manufacturer involved. I would.

The squeek is only while heavy braking, and the dealer says its normal, and the rotors were not wearing terrible, but you could tell, im just not sold on them, even more so, how they have lifetime semi-metalics, that are half the price, but, then again its personal preferance, the ceramics supposedly stop better, and have no dust, (my bosses truck, has dust) but, then again i have semi-metalics, and have little dust. and no squeek, so I guess it depends on the person and there preferances.

anyway, I dont want to HI-JACK the thread, so ill leave the topic alone here.

Not to make the hijac worse than it was, but ceramic pads on a normal rotor will eat them away like no tomorrow. You have to upgrade your rotors to a harder metal otherwise you will replace rotors instead of pads.

Arrow More rotor wear with ceramics?

I have about 40,000 on my ceramic pads, they are in the worst conditions, mud, dirt, water, and yes some snow. The rotors are showing no wear at all. I'd like to see the supporting data on the wear claims. Just don't buy into it, sorry. Ceramics do not embed particulate matter, and if your caliper is working correctly and your rotor properly surfaced should not wear excessively. The only issue I can see is that martensetic steel varies with formula and someone may have had some "softer" rotors than normal.
