Has anyone installed a trailer hitch?

I bought a Reese trailer hitch from Walmart and I was wondering how hard it is going to be to install it? Have an 04 F150.

I was looking at a hide a hitch on E-Bay that sounds pretty simple to install. I think any of them you get made for our trucks use exisiting holes in the frame to mount. If that's the case, it should be a piece of cake.

I'm looking into this as well. Now I have the V6 and it has a vibration damper on the driver's side and this is a problem. I would contact the distributors to get this cleared up. I'm not interested in a jury rigged system.

i was looking at the reese myself in walmart but could not find one for the 2004-2005 year. the price is good but i was just wondering if the hitch was going to be hidden under the truck. what part of the country did you find it, and let me know what it looks like when you get it done. from what i gather its about the best price out there.

hitch

I bought my hidden hitch online. Order it wednesday afternoon and it was on my porch when I got home thursday night. I installed it in 12 minutes. I use my air gun to tightnen the nuts. My hitch came with four wires with curles on the end that the bolt threads into. Just insert the wire thru the truck frame and lift the hitch up. Once the hitch is inplace just put two nuts on. Now you have a free hand to put the remaining nuts and bolts in. You won't beleive how fast and easy it is.

I decided to take the hitch back to Walmart because there was a lot of drilling required in order to get it installed. I am just going to find one that is made for my truck or get one that somebody can put on.

This is becoming more of a problem than I anticipated. Seems the vibration damper on the V6 model interferes with the hitch. Awaiting word on one that will fit without modification. Does anyone have suggestions?

There is no way I'm going to do this. I ordered a truck one time and it took three months. And it turns out the right hitch wasn't even in stock when I took delivery. I'm buying out of dealer stock everytime. Wait until close to the end of the month and they will really give the good deals -- like now.
