Shaved Doors

Shaving door handles is fairly easy nowadays. You can go a cople of routes but the easiest is the remove the door handles, install power locks and a power latch release. Fill the holes left by the door handle and your ready to go. It is easily a weekend project if its your first time.
One trickI've learned over the years is to make sure the doors are adjusted properly so they will "pop" open when the latch is released. If done right, the door poppers (a solenoid used to kick the door out) are not needed because you can easily open the door.

HI guys, just found this thread, i have a show truck that i had to learn on, shaving door handles, tail gate, ect. And now i do it to pay the bills, theres more to it then meets the eye, i've seen lots of people that just fill the spot with fibberglass, and bondo, this will work until you slam that door once or twice. Now, the first time i welded up the door handle, i got the metel WAY TO HOT, and boy did that puppy worp, spent the rest of the day pulling and fixing that problem. if you weld it up have a wet rag close by, and in finishing work, a small amount bondo , like 1/8th inch cover up. when done right, looks great.
