Since all the postings I can find are pretty old on this subject I was wanting to know if anyone had done the 2008 door panel swap and had any pictures on the plastic piece that needed to be shaved down or the wiring of the 08 window switches and mirror switches . My f350 is a crew cab 2002 and I have gathered that the back door panel fit right in and switches for the windows plug right in . I haven't checked to see the fit of the panels or the wire connectors because I am weighting to get the door panels dyed grey first . The local Ford dealer wanted $65 a connector ( a lot of money ) . I might get stuck trading my nice condition 2002 panels for the wires used from the guy I baught the 08 panels from . I also want to trade for the 08 window pillers with the different grab handles . I also wanted to see if the grab handles and pillers bolt right up too . Thanks for any help that anyone can give !
WHy did you buy a 2002 when you have decided to give the truck a total make over? ( 6.0 Front end, 2011+ tailgate)
And now 08 door panels? I dont see anything wrong with your 02 panels.... You should get new mirrors, towing mirrors. Might as well with all these changes, just pick a year.
I can't afford a 2008 or up so I got my 2002 a while ago as a 1 owner . I like the way the 2008 and up look . The powerstroke 7.3 in my past trucks haven't gave me a lot of trouble .
Who cares why he wants to? He wants to and that should be good enough. If someone has the information he is asking for they should help him. We all have our reasons for the mods we choose to do or not do. If we all were satisfied by the exact same things, this would be a very boring forum, not to mention, there would be less ingenuity applied to modding our trucks.

I agree, Changing things makes your truck unique and interesting, not to mention more suitable to you. I save everything for the most part to be able to go back to original, as I find myself doing more. I really like the look of our year trucks, especially the front end. The new trucks, including GM have tall flat square grilles with blinding amounts of plastichrome. Ours are way more aerodynamic looking and I'd bet in a wind tunnel with that stream of smoke, it would prove to be just that. As to the original question, I don't know. But good luck and enjoy "tinkering", as my wife would say, with your truck.
I agree! Isn't this one of the reasons we love the USA? God created ALL people free and equal. If mdayz28 wants to exercise his freedom, who are we to bust his chops? Oh, but wait. My views aren't politically correct and now I'm off topic!
Thanks for the support ! I found the swap pics but they were how it looks when its done with the old style dash and new panels but I am trying to find out what was shaved underneath the door panels . Thanks for that info though !

What the hell is this about? He who buys then decides...end of story.
