56 Panel made his into a one piece lift gate, not hinged doors.
I expect it could be done using modern door hinges, but would take a fair amount of research and adaptation. A couple problems I see is the upper hinge would need to go into a slender door post next to the window, the rear doors do not have any inspection panels except small one for the license plate light bulb, so would need to be split open to put in hinge mounts.

Tried search but positive someone had done this.

Lisence plate/light will be relocated from the door.
Lift gate option is not good option for this build. Headroom will be needed loading the bike which reminds be there is currently 1/2" clearance so removing those door guides is a plus.

Before my computer crashed and lost a bunch of pictures I had some pics of a 56 panel that had original style opening doors with hidden hinges. I believe I found the pics on one of the magazine sites. It was a light blue panel but there was only pics and not a wright up of how it was done.

If you can find this truck in an article in either Custom Classic trucks or Classic trucks magazine it has hidden rear door hinges. I used to have pics of the back but can no longer find them.

Looks like one would need to figure the correct curve of the hinge arm, pin it at the back of the door jamb, and then attach to the door. I would think that the door skin (or at least part of it) will have to be removed to make an interior frame in the door to hold at least the top hinge.
It would be nice to figure it out since there are no repop hinges out there.
Thanks for finding the pics Bob and John.

I'll be interested how you remove your hinges. Mine are riveted to the door.
