Vonage any good
does anyone have vonage here i just wanted to know if it is any good for the 25 a month verizon wants 50 for what they have any glitches or problems and anything else that would be good or bad bc i am thinking of geting it in the next month

I've been using Vonage for about a year now and haven't had any real problems to speak of. About the only thing I can think of is when talking to a friend that uses vonage as well and one of use uploads something. Thier is some breakup in the sound, but we figured out that's because both of are using the same ISP in the same city, but neather of us upload much so it hasn't been a big problem. Other then that, it's been great.
The other thing is you would be better off haveing cable rather then DSL. Most DSL providers require you to have a phone number with them to have internet.

Biggest problem with VoIP service is that it causes problems with 911 service--your local emergency folks may have trouble locating you should you make a 911 call over your VoIP service, or the call may get routed to a dispatcher several counties away.
