block casting Identification

I have 1979 4X4 with what appears to be a 351 installed. The question is which one?

The block casting is D0AE-J with what I believe to be 9930 jsut below this.

The starter looks to me like the one that was in my old 302 my 68 cougar had.

I have seen a block with the designation D0AE-L but it was in a 351 boss mustang.

Any Idea what this is?

D0AE-J is a basic Cleveland 2 bolt main casting. The number below should be the casting date but the 2nd 9 has to be a letter which indicates the month. It indicates the block was cast on the 30th day of ? 1969.

A = Jan
B = Feb
C = Mar
D = Apr
E = May
F = Jun
G = Jul
H = Aug
J = Sep
K = Oct
L = Nov
M = Dec

I'm not sure, but I don't think there were any 4X4's with a 351W, all of them were sixes, 351M's or 400's. Also, if memory serves me correctly, the 351M and 400 fuel pump bolts are above and below each other while the W and the 302's were side by side.

Good luck,
Doc
