According to this, it is a 1974 casting with a revision that was produced in 1975-77, and the revision could be the deck height of 9.503 vs. 9.480 on earlier blocks.
Not to rob this post...but where can I find the casting number on my 351. I had the starter off the other day and there were some numbers on the block behind that...but I forgot to write them down and put the starter back on now I cant see them. Where else can I look?
That's the only place the cylinder block casting number is. Sometimes you can read them with the starter in place using an inspection mirror and flashlight.
