In practice yesterday (2/16) Jr's car was pretty good he said, he was rather happy with it,,saying he "did'nt have to lift", so car was handling good, and they picked up some speed,, Should be a good race !! GO FORDS !!
Would be great if Mark or Rusty won, being there last one and all.
The Datona 500 is NASCAR's biggest race, so it is indeed a big deal. Also there is a second plate track and the new points system makes every race a big deal. Then there are the two road courses and no one will claim that Jr. is the best at turning right AND left. He is a good driver with good equipment and he could win the championship, but I would not bet the farm on it.

Sorry about that, I just assumed from your statement, "thats just one race. just one. big deal", that you were either uninformed or stupid. My apologies.

Well, according to the starting lineup there are only 9 Fords in the field. Over half are owned by Roush. At least one of the nine is sitting on the pole!

Hendrick Motorsports and Roush Racing come to mind. Biffle was the car to beat in the shootout. For once at the restrictor plate I will be very surprised if any of the DEI cars make it to victory lane.
One more season of NASCAR... and all the backstabbing, whining, the "my driver is better than your driver", and "my driver never gets any respect from NASCAR or the fans or the other drivers!" crap that goes with it. Another season of prima donna pretty boys whose main qualification to be a race car driver is their ability to remember all the names of their sponsors during the interviews on pit road.

What do you think Mark & Rusty's chances are now since they have to go to backup cars and start at the rear of the field? Personally, I think they'll both be up front at the end of the race...as long as they don't get collected in "The Big One".

I read this morning that they were going to fix Mark's car, so he will not have to start at the back. Harvick will have few friends out there.

Ricky Rudd all the way #21! Dale jr ha ha ha ha ha, he stinks like his old man, and he drives chevy. Jimmy Johnson that is even funnier he is almost as bad as his teammate and part owner Gordon, and they drive chevy. This is a Ford site. Ford all the way, wake up guys. I mean that in a nice way.

That's good news for Mark. 10-4 about Harvick. I think Rusty said it best earlier tonight from Daytona in the interview sessions. When asked about Harvick, Rusty just said, "What goes around comes around."

And around and around and around if the others have anything to say about it
