Aftermarket Overdrive?
Is there such a beast as an add-on overdrive? something that links up inline with the tranny? For some reason I thought I'd seen some one say some thing about that some where.

yes!!!!!! got to a search engine (www.ask.com) and type in us gear .... they have a after market set up that you unbolt the tail shaft slide on a adaptor plat and slide on the auxillary tranny... they have two style a overdrive unit and a underive unit... my 87 has one it has a 6.9 with 4:10 locked in od (aux tranny) I can turn 75mph @2400 rpm's
kinda pricey $1500-2500..
