Is their any way to install a drain lever in place of the hex head drain. To make the water draining process easier.

The newer 05s have them or are supposed to. You can take the drain plug, drill it out, tap it and put a small pitcock on it. I know of a guy that made one. Let me check and see if I can come up with how he did it.

Problem comes in if you have a 4x4. The front driveshaft runs right in front of the drain plug.

Would the new 05 cover just bolt on the 03 style separator housing.
