Hi. Many years ago, doing an alignment included driving over a metal gauge to set toe in and out. It was about 12" x maybe 30" with an arrow out the side. The top was on springs or something that moved as you drove over it, and that moved the arrow. I don't know the name of it, but are they still made or available anywhere? Thanks for any help.

I used to use a calibrated rod on my old Fords, I'm all for keeping things simple, But-
Using only those tools will get you an alignment off of the tires, not usually very accurate.
Todays alignment shops hook a box/beam/laser onto each rim, I know this can have problems too but it's the most economically accurate.
