doubling up on add a leafs

I am almost ready to tear into my rear suspension and I want some advice. I have two sets of rough country add a leafs and was planning on just putting two leaves per side and taking out the two larger leafs on the original pack. Is there any danger in this? I realize that it is an experiment but I think it should work and may give me 2-3 inches of lift as one set is supposed to give 1.5 inches.
thanks, Jeff

There's no danger to it Jeff, just an extra rough ride. If you can live with that it'll work just fine. Make sure your u-bolts are long enough or get a new set made.

I won't mind the rough ride. I am thinking about shortening up the bottom add a leaf a few inches so it looks like a normal pack. If I do that do you think it will improve the ride at all or should I not even bother?

Hey Ivan, don't us Montana folk have some strange ideas?

Jeff, I don't think your math is correct on the 1.5"+1.5" add-a-leafs. If both leaf packs are the same, you'll net more than 1.5", but methinks you'll end up with just slightly more than 1.5", say 1.75".

Yeah, I don't know what the final lift will be. Probably somewhere around two maybe more, maybe less. I'll measure when i get around to doing it and I will let you know.
