I have a basic two car garage where my jetski and my SCAB FX4 sleep. They both fit just fine. Just to clarify, my jetski is on a double trailer and is 2'' wider on each side than my truck is. I have plenty of room to detail my truck!!! GOT TO HAVE YOUR TRUCKS PAINT IN MINT COND!!!!!!WHATEVER IT TAKES PROTECT WHAT PEOPLE SEE MOST OF!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 2 car with 3 feet added on the one side. I have to park it on an angle so I can comfortably get out of the door. Have plenty of room on the sides but only 2" from the door to the back bumper. Surprised my garage door sensors don't pick up the back bumper.
I tow an RV, so I shopped for the most towing power I could get in my garage and still shut the door. None of the Super Duty's would fit. I had a choice between a Reg Cab 6 1/2 ft bed or a SuperCab 5 1/2 ft bed. I went with the 6 1/2 ft bed for a 5th wheel.
I have 3-4 inches to spare front to back and have to monitor my passenger side mirror carefully.
Took the measuring tape to the local dealership. Looks like I am going to have just enough room for an SCREW. I guess I can take up the FOR SALE sign from the front yard of the house.
I have a six car garage measuring 33' x 38' (three cars wide, two deep). I have three garage doors, two outside doors are 7' x 9'. The center door is a foot taller to accomodate my conversion van. I can hook up my enclosed 6 x 10 motorcycle trailer behind my Scab with the garage doors closed!
The funny thing is I have problems too. With all the atv's, motorcycles, snowmobile, trailers etc, I still find myself squeezing around the truck to make it fit. With the 7 x 9 door, I have a few inches on each side of the mirrors and a couple of inches clearance above my roof. The truck looks a lot bigger in a garage than it does when it's outside. It's actually longer than my Ford conversion van!
It just goes to show you that given any size garage, you'll keep filling it until it's full.
Having a smaller garage actually has some benefits. I was forced to straighten things up. Although I have some wall shelves, a large workbench and a wheeled tool box I managed to get my Reg Cab F150 and my Escape in there with sufficient room to get in and out with little effort.
I had always assumed that my garage was "normal" sized - but maybe it's bigger than most. I have no problem parking my 05 Screw in it. Don't need to fold mirrors, etc.
Not getting the truck is NOT an option. I guess I will have to look into one of those "garage stretchers".
I can fit my Super Cab Lariat in my garage... the key is the 5.5' bed. Hard to find those with the short bed, but it was either that, or driving around the block for 1/2 hour looking for street parking.
Still had room for my vette, toolboxes, washer/dryer, and a bunch of shelves, and a toolbench, it's really cramped.
I could have gotten the 6.5 bed or a chevy SS, but then my roommates wouldn't be able to get to the washing machine without climbing over the hood.

I also have a reg. cab F150 and an Escape. The little wife won't travel with the Escape since I bought the truck. Said the truck is much more comfortable and she even prefers it over the old Park Avenue. I can't get both in my garage because the 2 BMW bikes takes up a lot of the space.
The wife knocked the mirror off of the windstar over the weekend. Said the garage jumped out at her. Too bad for me it is a power, heated, signal mirror....$250 just for the mirror and they say it has to be painted. I have my dad looking at a junkyard in his area. Hopefully it will be cheaper to pay for the shipping than go through the dealer. Just glad it wasn't the truck
The beer fridge now has to share a bay with the mini van, but they seem to be getting along nicely. The truck just fits and I hold my breath everytime she(wife)pulls in or out of the garage.
